There is always tuition assistance. But there are other programs like the Naval Postgraduate School, Olmstead Scholarship, Funded Legal Education, etc. You’ll just have to do your research to figure out what you want. TA, however, is the program that the vast majority of officers use. Keep in mind for full time programs, your base and assignment team would have to be willing to release you from your duties for school. Certain fields are harder to get released from. There is the AFIT Civilian Institution Programs (CIP) which I think is what the other guy probably did. While at AFIT, either at WP or at a civilian institution, getting your degree is your job. You don't also go to work at the same time. Your desired degree, if it meets the needs of the Air Force, will determine whether you would go to WP or a civilian institution. Good luck!

We have to officers who are going to private universities instead of ACSC. One is at Johns Hopkins, the other is at Georgetown. They are called fellowships.
