I am a safety manager at a distribution center dealing with shipping and receiving grocery mechandise and even we haven't dropped a fork like that. A trailer should be chocked, locked or red/light controlled (or a combination)to prevent early trailer/truck departures while a fork is going in or out from the loading dock. Ideally, the truck should not be running (driver away from vehicle) while it is being unloaded or loaded. I'm pretty sure that bomb wouldn't go off through pure impact without a fuse but it is now probably damaged and unsafe to deploy. The driver of the fork was probably bashed around though the jarring when the machine dropped. I hope more than the driver learnt from this..
