This is the way our military should be treated upon their return from far shores. I remember arriving in California in 1971 from SEAsia to a very hostile environment. I sneaked out of the airport, got in a car and drove all night to get out of CA. Haven't been back since.
God Bless the USA and who defend her!!!

This kind of thing needs to happen much more frequently. The people of the USA need to stop being self-centered immediately upon seeing our troops come onto our home soil. After that they can go back to whatever they were doing.

I could barely see this video through my tears. I'm a civilian, and revere and honor our heroes so much. I'm a little bashful when I see one in the airport, but usually shake their hand and say "thank you". It can't possibly plumb the depths of my feelings, though, at the moment.

Never knew my paternal grandfather, as he was killed in Rangoon harbor, Burma. His honorable character lives on through his descendants, though.

When the refueling planes fly over my house landing at Pease (NH) I always rush to look out and send love and appreciation "vibes" up to them.

Thank you, readers. We love and honor you whenever we can.

Oh yes, and on 9/13/01 when I heard on conservative talk radio KVI Seattle that the black-wearing, Birkenstock-sporting, anti-war protesters (all 5 of them) were at a freeway exit at rush-hour with thier signs, I (and about 83 other listeners) massed across the street with flags. I participated in this display of support through the next year until we moved no NH. I miss that.

I respect the anti-war demonstrators' right to do so, but their timing was the worst. Two days after the terrorist attacks, Ground Zero still smoking...very tacky to protest war just then, I thought.

I've just finished American Soldier, by Gen. Tommy Franks, and am now reading The Hunt for Bin Laden: Task Force Dagger, On the ground with the Special Forces in Afghanistan, by Robin Moore. I'm in awe of the combination of precision high-tech bombing and the primo highly-trained special forces. BRAVOOOOO!
