This video is why I have ALWAYS preached "shoot low" at night. If you don't have night vision, it's the only way to go. If you miss low, there's always a chance the ricochet or a flying rock or something will hit the enemy.
If you miss high, you have just wasted a round - guaranteed.
I'm not convinced those are ricochets and not debris/rocks ect. Granted it would sure suck to get hit by it, but I gotta question its practicability and ability to neutralize a target? May be some hard to make shot that has made possible a quick follow up shot to finish off a target then, but that’s not what was presented here. Looks dangerous and like a waste of ammo but something to keep in mind.

Yes, well, that may happen as well, but at least the bullet was not wasted. I would say that the bulled helped increase the overall average IQ of the entire population, because anyone who shoots at the ground, is simply dumb.
Every military has put a lot of effort in developing and improving technology and weaponary in order to harness violence so it can be used effectively against a threat. This is none of that.
I believe the video shows the possibilities of catching a bouncing bullet, when kneeling unnecessarily - no cover - for example. There is no clue that it is a fancy method to eliminate the threat!
