OK I learned alot in the last 2 days about how well your favorite pharmacy chain keeps records.

For all of the smoke they blow about how they keep track of your medications.... yeah they don't keep those records long..

about a year. even tho most states require them to be held for 3 - 5 years. when CVS told me they had nothing in my records.. yet I know i had some filled in the last 2 years.. nope, don't keep the computer records more then 12 months.. I asked her how does that comply with the state requirement of 4 years.. her reply was that we keep the paper scripts, and if i had a rx# she could give me a copy..

OK I have dealt with most of the national chains.. the only one that could hand me a printout of my prescriptions from the last 4 years was Walmart...

Now I am not sure if I need these records for my VA claim.. But they do show a history of being treated..

So Walmart is the pharmacy to use if you want a history that you can actually get without calling the national legal department of your pharmacy..

Call CVS corporate office. Talk to the pharmacy department. I bet they can give you a better answer.
