Roll Eyes I got out of the active military way back in 1982. After spending 10yrs 2months, and 2days on active duty. One year after being out I applied for svc connected disability. The VA said my medical records could not be located and they may have been distroyed by accident or fire. I put in a request every 2 or 4yrs asking for them from St. Louis, MO. No one knew their where abouts. Even the VA Affairs Office in Denver denied knowing their where abouts. 20yrs went by and a friend working in the VA Affairs of Denver went into my files which they said did not exist and gave me my medical record which had been in Denver CO all those yrs, ever since I have been out. Then, the VA got upset with me for having these records. Go figure! My question was why did they denie having them for 20yrs and me asking for a copy all that time?
