88m is one of the mos's I am interested in but mostly I hear people talk about how bad this job is and it seems to me no one wants this mos. So can anyone tell me what I am missing and what is so bad about this job? I know its probably a little more dangerouse than a lot of mos's but is that the only bad part of it?

I am an 88M. The job isn't too bad in garrison but very dangerous in a combat area. You can be seen from a mile away and can NEVER, EVER see IEDs as you roll right passed/over them. Luck of the draw really. Not much you can do other than train/learn how to react if your convoy is hit.

The impression I have from the media is IED attacks on convoy's has been signifigantly reduced
so I was thinking it has probably gotten safer for convoys in recent months but I could be wrong. Thanks for the insight!!

I haven't been over there in while so I can't say whether the media is accurate or not but when is the media ever accurate?!?!?!?!
