OK amendment 3. I finally got an answer I ship on the 9th to Sill and my class starts on the 19th of september. I was supposed to leave on the 21st of August but got delayed due to an eye exam. This is better because I really didnt want to wait for weeks before going to WSMR. I want to start a thread for the ppl that ship around this date.

I am going in as an E-3 too! I will be active duty with a MOS of 68M Nutrition Care Specialist. My AIT is at Ft. Lee,VA for 19 weeks.

Thats cool, Ft. Lee. I'm going in as a 92L Patroleum Supply Specialist. Its also at Ft. Lee for 10 weeks.

Hey just wondering how long between the time your ship date was to your contract signing....I am trying to get an idea

I originally signed a contract on the 12th of Aug. Then was supposed to ship on the 20th of Aug. But I had to have a eye exam and the recruiters were sleeping on my consult so my ship date got put off till the 9th of september. Hope that helps

3 weeks for me between the two.

Woobes how long after you had the consult did you hear from the recruiters to go to MEPS to sign??

Woobes & pkathow I am also shipping out on Sept 9 2008 to Ft. Sill and also will be an E-3. I am prior service Navy and my name is "RedRob" signed my contract 2 days ago also I needed a consult for an Eye Exam but my Recruiters where on the ball so no delays

I did all my MEPS paper work down there on Aug12 and signed my contract that day. The recruiters never put in the consult so instead of leaving on the 20th they extended me to leave on the 29th of Aug. When I called At the begining of the week to see if I was still good to go thats when they told me it was the 9th of sept I was leaving. So I know I vented a bit there but it was a friday when I had my eye exam and on the next tuesday is when they told me that I was leaving on the 9th of sept.

Woobes you lost me....lol. How did your MEPS go? Mine was I went to MEPS was told I needed a consult, a month later I went to MEPS for the consult then from the result they sent up for the waiver. Now, I am waiting. I was wondering how long after the consult did you hear when you could go back to sign and swear in? I ask becuase thats wear I am!! lol

In other words how long did it take to hear if your waiver was approved??? If you got one.

Yeah I lost myself. I never needed a waiver, the MEPS just wanted to make sure I didnt have a certain problem with my one eye (corpus conus)(spelling??). After the doc said I didnt have the condition then he sent the results to MEPS so no waiver needed, I guess. They just told me I'm shipping on the 9th.

I ship for WTC on 11 SEPT. I don't know if I will be at Ft. Sill with you guys, my contract just says WSMR.

oh and OC, I signed my contract yesterday 29 AUG.
