I am wondering if i will be granted permisive TDY for house hunting when i leave FT Sill. I do not have to go through AIT, and my family is going to meet me at my first duty station, FT Carson, CO. On the FT Carson website it states that i will have to have it on my leave form for Permissive TDY before i arrive at Carson in order to be able to get it. Just curious if FT Sill will authorize it for me. If not, what should i do?

You usually go through a check out process where you get signatures. Ask for it.

But, if i ask, will they give it too me. Some of the things i have read is that there is no leave after WTC.

That is usually for IET students.

If they don't give you leave, your 1st sgt when you check in will give you some time to get housing in order.

Your going to have to go to your gaining unit first then they will give you your permisive TDY

Check your DA-31 and your orders. Between the two, you should get some idea of where you need to be and when. Your DA-31 should list any PTDY time between signing out of WTC and your report date at your duty location.

If not, ask your S-1.
