I haven't made it to MEPS yet, but intend on getting the latest avaiables for you guy and gals headed there. So far all I hear from my recruiters is 11x. I have seen other message boards and this one that have a few others, but seem to be on a limited basis. I'm not to enthusiastic about 11x, having come from Air Force avionics. If anyone else has in put on this subject post it.

I just got this info from my recuiter, straight from the guys at MEPS.

E-4..........SEATS W/WTC........SEATS W/O WTC
MOS
13B...............3...................48
13F...............2...................65
25F...............5....................1
27D...............0...................25
92F...............4...................19

E-5
13D...............2...................21
19D..............15....................8
21B...............0...................16
31B...............0...................11

There are some problems with the 21B, 27D and the 31B with WTC. There is a good possibility we will not be able to get any seats. But we do have some with out the WTC.

The above is direct from the ones at MEPS. Hope this info helps in making and informed decision.

I had a buddy that left MEPS this morning scored a 84 on the ASVAB and it did not matter much.

As Prior Service he had 3 MOS Choices as of this morning. It changes daily. He took 92F - Fuel Serv Spec.

His choices with an 84 - 11x , 13F and 92F

Ships to WTC - Nov 02

i've been out the navy for about three months, i go down to meps tomorrow and find out what jobs if any are available.... i think with rank and prior service you dont get that much of a choice.... i thought it would be the other way around.

Finally got my paperwork at the recruiter's office signed and my packet headed up to MEPS, took long enough....only been working at this since last Aug. He was wanting me to head up on the 16th of Sept. He said it's the end of the recruiting fiscal year and there may be some possible bonuses come through, but I ain't holding my breath.

I thought 89D was undermanned. I don't see it being offered lately.

Any ideas why?

isn't what they offer also tied to your asvab line scores? So, if you don't qualify it won't be on your list.

I'm still praying for 89D, but would take 19D and that one seem to be there a lot for E5.
