UPDATE 17APR09:
NCOs will remain an additional 5 days to complete NCO Training. It's a recognized shortfall that PS Members may not have had leadership roles in their previous branch. This training is in the works to be added to ATRRs. Please be aware this is for NCOs only.

WELCOME TO FT. SILL Home of the Field Artillery!

Ft. Sill salutes your decision in joining the Army family. The 95th AG Reception Battalion is your first stop towards the Warrior Transition Course. This is NOT Basic Training, but keep in mind many of the future IET Soldiers are inprocessing and it's important to conduct yourselves accordingly, and lead by example. You can expect to stay in Reception 4-10 days DEPENDING on what day you arrived, or how early you may have been shipped.

You'll arrive at the OKC airport, and volunteers from Travelers Aid Desk are there to assist you. You'll need to collect your baggage and be seated in the immediate area to catch the "Soldier's Express" bus. To gain access to the installation, you'll need to show valid Identification Card (ID). The bus ride is 1 1/2 hours. A Drill Sergeant will greet you at 95th AG BN, and you'll follow his/her instructions carefully.

You're NOT authorized to drive your Privately Owned Vehicle (POV unless orders authorize)Family members are NOT authorized to travel to WTC with you, but highly encouraged to attend graduation. Please take care of all personal matters prior to shipping ie. Mortgage, Rent, Bills, notify employer, inform school etc... you're expected to concentrate on the course. Being Prior Service Member you're expected to be professional, and avoid misconduct, or disrespect of any of the Staff. They are extremely busy inprocessing of multiple Soldiers in different catagories (Basic, AIT, WTC, BOLC) Prior Service Member are expected to Lead the Way and set an example.

EXAMPLE (Depending on how early you arrived. The actual inprocessing is 4 days)

(Any Issues, Concerns, Missing Documents, Medical Problems, Corrections will be handled/initiated prior to shipping to Training Unit)

WTC TRAINING SCHEDULE (Example)
WTC instructs you how to become ARMY Warriors, and teaches you necessary skills to assist you not only in your unit, but also assist you in future deployments in combat. You're required to participate and accomplish many tasks, and course requirements to graduate. The course is physically demanding, and fast paced. 4 weeks is not enough time to get a Soldier in shape to pass their APFT if you've not prepared yourself prior. You can and will be heldover if you fail course requirements such as the APFT, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, injuries, and other course requirements. Be prepared, and patient if you're heldover after the course. You'll recover, or be recycled as soon as possible to make up the event, and graduate.
