Well it's off to meps in the morning. The recruiter will pick me up about 4am and take me downtown for my med consult. I really do not know what to expect but from what everyone has stated it should not be a big deal. I hope the doc will give me a copy of his statement or at least tell me I passed. That way when I get back at meps I can hand it over and they can process my dependency waiver which the recruiter said is at BN level and should get done the same day.I guess I'm hoping to get it all done on this trip, mos and swear in, but I am not holding my breath.I will let you all know the results when I get back, wish me luck and if you have any last minute tips or suggestions let me know.
LRFJr, don't worry, you carry your chart around and can read the comments the Doc's put in the comment section. You'll know cause they Doc's arn't bashfull about telling you what your problems are. Waivers are always available so keep at it. Good luck JB
I had a waiver done back in April, it came back from usarec stating I had to wait one year from my surgery date (Sep 19 2006).That date has past now they want the med consult by a doc outside of meps. I guess he takes me to meps and then they send me to a doc close by.We will see in a little while, 8 hours and counting.
Well back from meps. They sent me to a bone and joint doc outside of meps about 2 miles away. From leaving meps in the cab to the return took 1 hour. The doc said everything is good and told me good luck. He would not give me any paperwork but stated he would have the results faxed to meps by lunch. Then the medical guy at meps (do not know his title) said he would resubmit the waiver and should hear something by Friday(hopefully). Then once that gets done they will submit the dependency waiver, that should be Monday and that is BN level. So the recruiter said plan on going back to meps either Tuesday or Wed to get my mos and swear in.Almost back in.
