You could ask a recruiter they can tell you what's been offered but they may or may not be able to tell you exactly what because it changes day by day. Your best bet to go thru MEPS and speak with a counselor they know for sure what is available based on the needs of the army. Prior service soldiers have been offered more than just 11 or 18 series contrary to what has been posted as the only options in many forums.

I am prior service holding out to see if I can get MP I missed it last time by a couple of days at MEPS, going to try my luck again next week. Good Luck to you Smile

like chairborne09 said, meps changes EVERY SINGLE DAY. literally, but for the most part prior service people get the sharp end of the sword, why? dunno. luckily i got exactly what i wanted which is 19k due to ship out on nov 2 this year and carry on to ait january 19. so all in all i fared good, all depends on your day at meps. if your real picky though, you might spend a couple weeks going through the never ending process at meps.... which sucks. so if you just want in the army, get what they give, if your picky, try to see if you can get a recruiter that has all the hook-ups at meps to see what they might know. but honestly, in the end even the meps people have to report to the rock to see whats open. so just go there with a good midset, and you might strike gold.

I got offered to be a truck driver or 21k plumber. Also heavy equipment mechanic. It REALLY does depend on when you get to MEPS.

Navy91 like we all said man its really hard to say. one day meps could give away top mos picks then the next they could switch up and give you ONE mos to PICK from, (like there are diffrent choices). like me, i got the EXACT mos i wanted the day i went which is 19k M1Abrams crewmember. its really all about the luck of the draw man.... if you REALLY want something speciefic, then you MUST be cool. you might end up going to the meps 6 or 7 times. but if you keeps seeing the same man, and he knows what you want, the rock might just say wtf and give it to you. but to be honost, if your prior service then you might be at the sharp end of the sword. who knows! i was but lucked up.

i was told that reservists are the ones getting the bonuses and stuff, i would have got a 10k bonus for a 6 year sign-on under 21B. Instead i decided 19K on active duty was better, no bonus though.

Does anybody know how long the process takes from AD Marine to AD Army? I go to MEPS next week to see which jobs are open right now, and which jobs I can get. Hopefully it all goes well.

MY DH just got back on Thursday from MEPS. He was told there were several MOS openings for prior service and was actually offered several. Some of those included Petroleum, Water Services, Paralegal, Infantry, Truckdriving, Cook, and I know there were more but I can't recall at this very moment. I do know for sure that they went off of credit score on the paralegal position. He leaves in February for WTC at Ft. Sill. We are very excited for our new adventure!!!
