i have a meps date for 10aug09 my eaos expires with the navy on 09aug09 does anyone know how long it usually takes to get a ship date?

whats up jus wanted to see whos gonna be in ft. sill for tha Aug. 5th class for WTC

I read somewhere here that soldiers are spending more time at 95th prior to shipping out to WTC. When you guys arrive, you're going to receive 3 books; The IET Soldier's handbook, Warrior Skills Level 1, and Arab Cultural Awareness.

I recommend reading through all three books prior to shipping to WTC. You should have more than enough time to get through all three. You'll have downtime during in-processing to where you'd be able to get some reading done. Use it for reading instead of getting into misc conversations. They're quick reads, and they contain information you'd be able to use at WTC... and at Infantry OSUT if you're headed there.

I will be in WTC training Aug 14. Im shipping out way too early though. Aug 3rd is the day i report back to MEPS. Prior Navy. from Avionic Technician to Airborne Infantry...woot! coming back in as an E-4. See you all out there!
