Basic Training |
hey I'd appreciate it if anybody know the answer on this one.
Im going back 11X, Im prior service Army, was in intelligence and want infantry this time. I know that Im going to go to the WTC instead of doing Basic again, but as Infantry is one of those one station unit training cycle deals I wonder how that works. Not wanting to do basic all over again if I can help it but Ive got the feeling when i show up at Benning Im going to get told its a 14 week course and if I want to be in the infantry I need to do it all including the 9 weeks of Basic. Anybody know if they will let me out of the basic part and put me with a unit that has done the first nine weeks already? Thanks. |

you won't go to basic again, you are already slotted for WTC. I assume you have been out for more than 3 years already. After that you'll get slotted into your AIT..of course you'll be in with fresh booties...Isotep (a poster) went through this recently and although he's home now, maybe he'll post his knowledge. Good Luck.

You will not do basic again. You will finish WTC and go to Benning at the start of the "AIT" portion. Around week 10.
