Smilefellow prior service brothers leave your attitudes at home before coming here remember why you sign up in the 1st place and keep that with you.then secondly prepare to come here in shape upper body lower body and your mental state has to be in tact.the cadres or outstanding for what they have to go through on a daily basis this is not a kiss up to them its the truth, imagine yourself training soldiers day in day out.AND FINALLY DRINK WATER NOT 8OZ BUT AT LEAST A GALLON AND A HALF A DAY BEFORE COMING HERE BECAUSE IF YOU DONT SAY GOOD BYE TO YOUR DREAM. THE HEAT HERE IS NO JOKE. THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY HOOAH! GOODLUCK. PS NCO'S LEARN THE NCO CREED NOW IT AND BRUSH UP ON YOUR DRILLS AND CEREMONY. I PROMISE YOU IF YOU DO THIS YOU WILL BE BETTER OFF FOR IT.

Thanks for the info. Are you in WTC currently? I am curious about the hydration. Has it been an issue thus far, as in soldier's falling out due to dehydration? I was also wondering about wether you get issued that goofy credit Card that you are told you have to max out? Or can you get around that. I hate wasting money just for the sake of it. Thanks again

I saw on other posts in threads that smoking was allowed during soldier's time, at the end of the day I am assuming. Is it permissable to bring ciggarrettes with you to wtc or are they going to get confiscated or thrown in the trash? Those suckers are really expensive, and I don't wanna see them go in the trash. Please don't tell me to quit lol, I like smoking and I have been passing my APFT's.

Cigs are not listed on the prohibited items list so I would think they would be ok.

Time is getting short...Getting a little restless lol. I have been working out pretty hard, I hope it's enough to carry me through this course safely. How about you other 517ers? You all ready for the hurry up and wait? Looking forward to meeting you all.

I'm getting more anxious myself. I just want to get it going and over with. I'm sure it will fly by with all the training we have to go through.

mc29 here are some answers. yes im here right now , is dehydration a problem as far as people falling out. not really a problem but a concern.
we have had two people with some problems. only because of electrolytes not hydration. but its getting hotter. wtc command have taken this heat thing very seriously, so they take care of you but you have to do your part. ok now smoking.YES YOU CAN SMOKE ON YOUR FREE TIME BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE'S SOME NOT MUCH BUT ENOUGH. REMEMBER YOU ARE HERE TO TRAIN.COME HERE HYDRATED AND CONTINUE TO STAY THAT WAY. THE CREDIT CARD THING YOU WILL GET IT BUT DONT HAVE TO USE IT. TAKE IT AND JUST LET IT EXPIRE AND IT IS BUT BACK INTO YOUR ACCOUNT. OK BROTHERS GOOD NIGHT.
