Hey All,

I really like this board so I figured I'd update this thread as my journey went along. I contacted a recruiter today and we filled out my DD 368, and I'll be faxing that in on Tuesday to my AF Reserve unit (I know I will be released) and my recruiter and I have another appointment so I can start processing my waivers (I have a child and my AD AF RE code needs waiver) I'm very focused on my dieting and weight loss, as well as preparing for WTC,I don't wanna finish last or be the least prepared 28 days is a very short period of time.

I figured when I swear in at MEPS,I'll start practicing the Soldiers creed, learning my general orders as well as enlisted ranks, I hope this process doesn't take very long, I am so motivated to start a new career in the Army, and active duty at that!

It is great to hear your motivation!! Depending on your ASVAB you may qualify for a fast shipping MOS. You can ask for a fast shipping MOS at MEPS when you go to sign your contract. Otherwise, alot of enlistees are receiving April ship dates. That would give you plenty of time to get in shape. I hope everything goes as fast as you want and, you get all the waivers you need. Stay motivated and do not let anything slow you down....Good Luck!!

Is WTC that full or is there another reason for pushing ship dates out to April?

Mami, you sound like me with the dieting and weight loss. Smile I'm trying to get back to my PS shape in order to re-up. I want to be prepared for the PT as well.

You shouldn't swear in until the day you ship so I wouldn't wait that long. At MEPS in Louisville PS don't swear in when you sign. I think it's more of a show to the new recruits to make them think they are under contract and can't back out.

I signed last tuesday and didn't swear in.

Pregnancy weight is the hardest to loose, I'm good as far as Air Force standards, I just need to get to Army standards, I ordered the 30 day shred by Jilian Michaels, it looks really intense, it almost guarantees 20lbs in 30 days, if you do it everyday
