Two weeks out from my ship date and I am antsy as hell. I can't wait. I even tried to move the ship date up, but I guess you can't do that. I passed my PFT about two weeks ago in the high 250's (plan on getting better with the structured PT), got my bills set to autopay and dropped off two months worth of rent.

I'm stoked. I want to get this going.

One thing does concern me, though. I already searched the forums for it, but I got wildly different answers depending on when someone else had asked.

If I ship out from MEPS on the 31st of August, how much lag-time for processing should I plan on? It seems to change pretty often, so I figure a more recent estimate is called for.

I tried logging onto AKO to look at the catalog of classes, but the site said they have some sort of technical issue not allowing my username.

I'm a reservist, though I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter for this particular question. My chain of command is currently embarked and not reachable, so I've had to do all this on my own or with negligible help from the recruiters.

I already know about the added week of NCO classes and am well briefed on that one by reading all the forums. I also have all the info I need on what to bring, who to talk to, papers to have, etc.

I also know the dates are never all the way solid.

Log post short, if I get there Sept. 1st, when is the best guess for classing up? I need to know for my employer and for school.

Keep studying and keep trying. You only need to ask your question in one place. This poster has a question that they want answered and this is their space.

you will ship to D 1/79th on 10 Sept 09, so add your 4 weeks plus one week of your NCO course. Hope this helps.

Damn, never mind. Stuck another day because MEPS 'misplaced' some things. It sounds like they misplaced their head up their ass.

Anyway, hopefully getting there a day late doesn't set me back in training.
