I am Navy till the 27th. I am an Combat Crew Chief on the HH60H. I have good evals, ASVAB and 13f was one of my choices. Yes you should get a bonus but from what I hear is that all the equipment has changed and they may make you redo ait. I spoke with another 13f who was out 6 yrs and he said they told him he had to do wtc and ait again. Hope this helps.

I got 20K, but its a field job. I was in the field 6 months every year for 3 years. 13F is called "festers" or eyes of the army. You are basic artillery version of infantry. All my buddies in iraq and afgan right now doing infantry stuff. So you gotta 95% change getting deployed with your first 6 months of duty.

was it easy to get 25b if you have the scores or did they try to give you a hard time since its a computer job? Also, what do we do when we're deployed with that job. Someone said that they put us on patrols.

Hooah! I got 13F as well with a $10k bonus.

The odd thing is that I keep having people tell me that I don't REALLY want that job and that I'll get deployed and that I'll be living out of a ruck-sack for three weeks at a time while deployed. But, that really IS what I want! I'm joining the Army because I spent 4 years AD Air Force and sat behind a friggin' desk the whole time.

Neb-

HOOAH! I go to MEPS this Thursday. I want to stay in aviation but I also want to be out where the action is. I would like to look into being a Black Hawk crewmember...soemthing like that. But I don't want to draw myself away from maintaining important skills I had acquired over the years both in the NAVY and in civilian life. Any suggestions or MOS's where I can have both??? Yes, I could use a bonus! I need that financial leverage. I pay child support for crying out loud!
