Since we are all prior service, just wondering exactly what is everyone getting in their contracts? I know it depends on MOS and ASVAP scores, but just curious on what bonus and base assignments are going around.

No prior service bonus. It might be because I left Active Duty in '83, and left the Reserves in '92.

But I'm happy with my $15K. Smile

Hey, I'm going for 91w as soon as my waiver comes through.
Was the 8k just for that jobs sign on bonus or does it include other bonuses as well(i.e. education or airborne bonuses.?

I'm going to MEPS Friday, I will post exactly what I'm offered, and try to ask as many questions as possible to help out everyone here.

I don't know if youve read much about how to deal with the counselors, but stand your ground. They may try and snowball you into something you don't really want. I've read a number of posts were guys have threatened to walk out and at the last minute were given exactly what they wanted. But you probably know this and are well prepared. So, good luck and we look forward to hearing how it goes.

forced -

I was told by my recruiter that my AFSC of 3c251 converted into an Army MOS of 25B and there there was a bonus. Is this not the case. I am scheduled to leave for MEPS on MOnday and would like to know going in.

dmtche18. I have the air force to army mos conversion sheet right here. And a 3c251 doesnt convert to the army. But as for a bonus there is none for 25B. Just like the USAF, they probably had a bonus but took it away.

13R 3 year enlistment, $19,000 bonus. Not the job that I really wanted, but its a sweet bonus for a 3 year enlistment, and AIT is only 7 weeks long. I would have shoveled poo if they offered it....(need to pay off some bills). so happy to finally get back in and be part of something meaningful again.

I got offered 30 jobs, this one was one of the few with a high bonus. most jobs offered was either a 5k or 11k bonus, but be careful alot of those jobs are 4 year enlistments with super long AIT.

Hi everyone! Going to MEPS on 15Mar to hopefully get back in the Army. I am prior service LA Nat'l Guard (13F), been out enjoying the civilian life since 2001. Anyway, my specific question is directed towards JD_n_NC:

Were you prior service 13F in the Army, or were you in another branch prior? I am curious as to if I would possibly be entitled to any sort of bonus if I re-enlisted as a 13F, as I understand that being MOSq'd as a 13F that I prob would not be able to reclassify even if I wanted to (not saying that I would want to, being a FISTer is an awesome MOS!!). Just have to look at financials now that I am married, older, and maybe even a little wiser Smile . Any information would be greatly appreciated.
