Decided to join the ARMY ... passed the ASVAB with flying colors but got DQ'd by good ol' Dr Yau down at MEPS for bad vision ... high refract ... a waiver was submitted by my recruiter. He says as long as my vision is corrected to 20/20 I'm a-ok but I'm having doubts ... What are my chances of it getting approved as of now? If so how long will it take? I have heard so many mixed things but a lot of negative things ... should I give up hope?

Medical waivers for the Army right now, are running anywhere from 3 days to 6 months. If you have a good recruiter that can make sure that Meps is processing the waiver and tracks it, you should know within 2-3 weeks. Have him Track the waiver. It will be in his computer as soon as Meps actually does it and not when they say they did it.
Track you stuff!! Best Of Luck, Navy91 |
