You know NinjaDrill and Spider, it never ceases to amaze me about the differences of opinion there are about WTC. Ninja, how do you do it as a drill instructor? Spider, how do you do it having to deal with them each and every day? I sit here and read these things and it makes my stomach turn. If you are a soldier be a soldier. If you are just here for the money that is fine but don't ruin it for the people who are here to train and learn. Don't try and fight the system. Don't rock the boat, you will only tip over and eventually drown. I know that the Military has changed but you still have to do what is right. NCO's, you may not have a big roll in the day to day operations but some of you don't act like NCO's. You act like you wear the rank instead. Do what you have to do to earn the respect in your platoon and help the Cadre out. I know for a fact that Charlie Company Cadre are very under manned but they make it happen. Some of the NCO's in the platoons could help out by leading the way. BE, KNOW, DO! If you don't know what that is, ask an prior Army NCO he should be able to tell you. It doesn't hurt to do what it is that you are told to do, be where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there. But you always have those present few that what to do it their way and piss everyone off. That is what the Cadre feed off of. Then everyone pays for it because some of you like to follow the wrong crowd. 28 Days of doing what someone else tells you to do. You could do that with your eyes closed.
Hey Sgt K! Thanks for the help and taking your time to train us at WTC. While I may be one out of a sea of faces, you and the others stand out. Thanks to sp1d3r and everyone else at WTC (both Santa Fe and WSMR) for performing at top speed even though you were undermanned. Big SGT Mink, 3rd Plt, class 07015.
