I am in the ARNG, but did not go to WTC, as this was not enforced by my state at the time. I have had some medical issues come up since then, some Deployment related-2 deployments later-and some from hereditary/age related. I am being told that I now have to go.
I don't think I will get through MEPS with high blood pressure and tachycardia/arrithymia. I take medication for both. Interestingly, I passed my last SRP's, post-deployment exams, and was approved for a QRB recently. I understand that MEPS uses initial entry criteria for determining eligibility. Any advice? |

I would venture to say there are many many soldiers in your shoes. I know five personally who have at least one deployment behind them who now have to go to WTC.
If you want to stay in, then go. Do what they are telling you to do. Go to MEPS, take your SRP pre and post PHAs. If they tell you no you cant go to WTC then you are screwed for retention. And these days the ARNG is trying to get rid of soldiers. Had a buddy who did not get past his med board and the US ARMY Reserve was willing to take him. Hope this helps. You will certainly be an asset at WTC. |
