Last week. I am getting a little nervous as the temp is going up and up. It is different going in this time versus the last time. Didn't have a worry in the world last time, but this time, I have a family I am leaving behind.
I also got smoothed by doing drills and also the first two phases of my MOS training before I go get SMOKED!
The whole two weeks of my MOS training, I was watching the privates getting smoked and kept thinking..........that is going to be me in 4 weeks.
It is all good. Passed my AFPT for drill already but I am nervous but also exicited to meet some new faces and have some new stories. I think my wife is tired of the old war stories..........haha.

I am wondering if you read most of the threads. There are ATRRS dates and a plethora of info that YOU can find here. I even posted the link to the WTC website here for Fort Sill. Search is your friend.

This is SPC Rios, I am here at WTC at the moment. we were supposed to start WTC at the end of June but the earlier class filled up before I got here so I have been in hold over status for a little over two weeks. We are 49 deep at the time but we are expecting about another 140 or so. this next class starts July 23 for those of you who are interested. I am prior service army but the majority here are prior service Navy (about 85% of class is prior service Navy)For those of you who dont make it to the July 23rd class, you will be in reception for 3-4 weeks befor shipping out to WTC. You will do some training and ALOT of details. You get passes after work but only for about 2 1/2 hours. On the weekends you do details till 10am then you go on pass till 2100hrs. LEARN THE SOLDIERS CREED AND THE ARMY SONG!!!!!!!

Here now! Pack light because there is no civilian clothes authorized. You can only smoke durring pass and pass is only from 1830hrs till 2030hrs on weekdays and from 1000hrs to 2100hrs on Saturdays. Its SUPER hot here so start hydrating yourselves (NO JOKE)! Learn the Soldiers Creed and Army Song Or no pass for you. There is a big group that was supposed to start at end of June but now the Army wants us to spend more time in reception do to too many people failing the APFT (PT Test) at WTC. We are the first class to undergo the new change which required us to be here 1 month prior to WTC start date. You will train on Drill and Ceremonies, Physical Fitness, Military Customs and Courtesies ect.... Hope this helps. My Name is SPC Rios (Prior Service Army SSG/E-6)Look for me I will assist you in any way that I can.

Thanks for all the info SPC Rios. Good to have a heads up on what to expect. I leave in a couple hours for the hotel then ship tomorrow. So should be there tomorrow evening barring any unforseen snags. So, 1 month in reception huh. I can use the extra PT anyway. Im pretty good overall but still trying to get my run time down. So I won't like it but Ill need it lol.

See all you guys either tomorrow evening at the airport or as you arrive throughout the week. Looking forward to meeting you all and getting going.

It looks like I will not ship out today. My recruiter did not check into a waiver I needed for MEPS. Hopefully It will all work out and I can get another date soon.
