I just signed up 21N (instructor) slot and will be going to the WTC class starting July 24 09. My ship date is July 14th out of St. Louis MO. I was former AF and have been working my butt off to get into shape. I have been out for awhile.
I am glad there are a few of us. I was starting to think I was going to be hanging out until a class filled up in August. I have a wierd schedule. I am taking my first phase of the school, and will doing my second phase my school prior to even going to WTS. I have been to BA and am going to get M-16 qualifed this weekend and do my PT test and whatever else they throw at me. I had to go buy two sets of uniforms and PT outffit so I can be ready. Got my first class on shaping the Beret. It has been crazy. Looking forward to WTS and meeting you all. My former number was the first link but I changed it to the one now.
I will be leaving for FT. Sill on July 15. It has been a long wait. I was supposed to ship out on April 28th but didnt make the weight by 4lb's. Im prior Navy. How about everyone else?

Do they check your weight before you ship out? I was 10 lbs overweight when I went to MEPS but passed the tape test. I but 5 lbs already, but just want to know if they still check your weight on your ship date. Does anybody know?
Yeah they check it when you go back to MEPS the day you ship. They have to make sure you're still within standards. If you passed the tape test then you're within standards. I was 13 lbs over. I'm not fat but I had to be taped as well. I was under on body fat %. My current job didn't involve motivation for PT. Anyone here have the Infantry school date of Sept. 14?
Thanks Tswiley... Good thing I didn't slack off while waiting for my ship date. It's the dieting part that I am having a problem with. I LOVE FOOD!! hehe, who can blame me. I grew up eating rice with salt only (grew up in Philippines). My infantry school date is at the end of July. I have 2-3 weeks gap between WTC and OSUT. Good luck everyone! Just pray, it helps.
Hey all. Name is Dave, from Colorado. Prior service AF now in the Army NG with an MOS of 13P.
I am scheduled to ship from Denver on Monday, July 13th. (up to the hotel on the 12th).
Feels a long ways off though, im already getting pretty antsy. I have Drill June 6/7 so really once that is over just another month to go. Im not the most patient person in the world so this is killin me, lol. But just looking at it as a chance to get my PT work in before getting there.
Looking forward to meeting you all. Hopefully a group of us will all be up at the airport up in Lawton at the same time.

I have that Sep 14th start date, tswiley. I spoke with a guy just back from infantry OSUT, he had stopped by the recruiting station on his way to his new post. I asked him about any prior service guys in his platoon. They started them on day one, so we'll see what happens. We may end up doing WTC and a full OSUT.
Yeah there is no way. That would defeat the purpose of WTC. They aren't going to spend all that money on people. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I believe that they might have taken the other route that the Army did allow before. If there weren't slots open for WTC or the follow on AIT school then the Army would allow them to process as new guys and attend the full OSUT. They stopped doing that though.
im shipping out july 14 from NYC. start wtc on july 24. im going 25L, glad to see we have a pretty decent size class. see you guys there. hooaahhhh!!!!
Well, I just found out that I had to go drill, unlike my recruiter told me. So I ended up making up two drills and 15 days of AT. Im cough up with my drills. AT was fun. I should be of to WTC july 15 from Puerto Rico. I signed up for a 52c starting in Sep. I found out MOS trainig is in Phases, so I have to attend three different phases. I hope they can line them up all in a row.....
