I'm prior service and enlisted as 19K also. I dont have to go to WTC since I haven't been out for more than 3 years. I ship out Oct 28 to FT Knox and according to my contract I should start the AIT portion of OSUT on Nov 9th.
Depending on how long WTC is for you we might be in AIT at the same time over in Knox.

WTC is only 1 month so I should be real close to finishing Armor school when you are starting. Wish you the best buddy.
I think my date is Sept 7. I joined in Feb as prior service. Didn't start drilling until July. I used to be a FMF Corpsman so I got in the NG as a 68W. I'm in a great unit, but I'm not a spring chicken anymore (43),so it's been a challenge pt wise, but I have been doing a bit more each week to prepare myself.
Great to hear CH. I am not quite 43 but I'm 36 and that is still twice as old as i was when i first went in. Keep up the PT, 99% of it is menatlly tough, the rest is physical. especially the running. the first 1/2 mile always seems the hardest, but I find once u get ur pace and breathing then u can run for miles and miles. But hey, now you already have 2 friends that will be there for ya to help u through. Me and Matt. See ya on the 7th
That's great, I'm looking forward to getting this done so I can start back to school in January. You are right, the running is a ***** at first, I've been alternating running and walking for the last month. We did a practice pt test at drill yesterday. Push ups and sit ups weren't bad (though I am sore as you know what today). The run took me 20 minutes and I could have died, but it's getting way better than a month ago and I still have a month to do it. I'd be happy with 17 mins at my age. I didn't even like running when I was 18...
I ship Sept 2. Name is James. Been out for 11 Years, now 39 years old. Prior navy going NG drilling since April. MOS 21K. Nice to get a couple of names to look for. See You there.
I'm shipping on or around the 31st of August to class up the 7th. Not sure what exactly I'm in for, but I'm easily passing the PFT already, so the rest will probably just be class work.
I spent five years in the Navy and liked it alright. I just didn't feel like spending my shore duty in beautiful Fallon, Nv, so I bailed.
Anyway, yeah, I'll be there. Nice to see I'm not gonna be the old man.

What you didn't want to enjoy the sand and the wonderfull view of nothing? Or the hour drive to Reno or to Carson to see a bigger town?
Erich, sorry about the delayed response. I am prior service Coast Guard, 2 yrs actice 89-91 and a couple more reserve. I've been wanting to get back in for a long time now but wanted to wait for the kids to get a little older. I'm 37 now with a 7 & 9 year old. I figured if I was ever going to do it, I had better go now.
Now I don't have to worry about being the old guy. Tore about 3 inches or so in my abs over doing the situps preparation, now I have to get the hernia repaired before I can go and rehab for 4 weeks. I get the knife next Monday, add 4 weeks to that and it like October/November best case.

Good luck with that and hopefully you will recover quickly and be on your way to WTC
