Hanyone ere signed for the 11x or Option 40 enlistment? I am an E-6 in the Navy and am seperating in Mar09 to go BTG. Any help would be greatly appreciated? Also, did anyone get to pick 1st duty station?
Hey, Im about to go in 11X as well. Prior service too. hey did they tell you how long infantry AIT will be for you? Officially its 14 weeks but thats because its Basic + AIT in one. Im wondering if us guys that have knocked out basic already still need to do the whole 14 or do we just do the last 5.
I'm trying to get either an option 40 or 18x contract. I'm prior service Navy, left in Mar 08 as an MA2. Are you separating in conus or from overseas. I was in bahrain, and have been waiting to get in because my paperwork wasn't done properly from over there, and I waited this long to get copies of my medical records. Make sure when you separate you take copies of everything, Med records, security clearance info, and anything else you can think of.

I didn't get it in my contract, but during AIT I put in a volunteer request on AKO and my 1st selection was accepted and here I am now in Hawaii
You'll do minimum 8 weeks if your LUCKY, but if your even LUCKIER.... you'll do 12!!! Only thing you will miss in 11X AIT is red phase. Your there for the rest. I LOVED IT!!! I dont joke either, I would give my left nutt to go back and do it over and over and over!!!! Welcome to the brotherhood!! INFANTRY LEADS THE WAY!!!
