I am in the guard. You can go to AIT or any training your unit will send you to. This is all dependent on your unit wanting to send you. Don't let them tell you that you have to go to WTC first. I know many who went to AIT then WTC. The bad thing is that most guard/reserve units are running out of money until beginning of the fiscal year (October) so they may not have the money to send you.
