I was active duty Navy in the rate of ma2. I am enlisting in the army and I want to enlist as a MP. My recruiter stats that he does not know if I will be able to get that MOS. As a civilian, I have been a police officer. I have and certified in SWAT, narcotics, streetcrimes and DUI task force. Do you think my level of experience will be considered and will I receive a bonus?
i just went to MEPS and did the blue to green thing. i am an MA2 also. they stopped giving bonuses to E5 and above. but if you have been out for while and come in as an E4 then you might get a bonus. other wise no bonus.
i went to MEPS feb 10th and 11th.
but i think MP they can offer you but dont count on much. they only offered 4 jobs and no bonus.
I think MP is pretty easy to get...I was offered it when I was in MEPS also. It had a small bonus, can't remember how much because I wasn't interested in it.

Bonus, OJT, etc... will need to be addressed by the recruiting agency and MEPS. Only one way to really find out is to speak to them.
You can try posting this question in the Recruiting Forum for advise. This forum is specifically about the training, and soldiers coming to WTC already.
You'll get mixed answers depending on everyone's experience, or what they got in their contract for many reasons.
