I'm up north of you in the Bay Area. Welcome to the team. I spent many years in the Army before getting smart and coming over to the blue side of the house. Glad to see you didn't need to make the same choice, and got smart from the get-go.
Don't worry about Basic. It will start on you...whether you "can't wait" or not.
It will be all up on top of you before you know it.
But then, it will all be over, and you will be one of the few folks in your community that had the courage to attempt it...and to succeed at it.
