I'm looking to see about becoming a pilot in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. This is my question: as far as being a pilot, will it interfere (ONCE YOU ARE DONE WITH TRAINING AND YOU GET YOUR WINGS) if you a have full time civilian job? Would you have to spend more time training besides the one weekend a month?Currently, I'm an AF Reservist. If you area pilot and work a full time civilian job, please let me know how you work both things at the same time.

Hundreds if not thousands do it.
I am a pilot in the civie world and the two can be challenging at times...but worth it. |

Your upfront training commitment will keep you on active duty for approximately the first couple years of service. Almost ALL of the pilots and navigators I have recruited have had a full time civilian job. That goes for both non prior and prior service folks.
16219499 - All Air Force Reserve pilots are in the reserve (Unless they are an AGR - which means they are still in the reserve). |
