Is finance responsible to keep up with or at least check DEERS?
Does any one know how long Finance has to maintain BAH forms ? Especially for AGRs
I was told finance was required by Regs. to maintain all forms from an AGR in a file from enlistment to discharge True or not?
Also if a member makes updates / changes to MPF are they suppose to send it over to finance?

If MPF showes no dependents for a member should finance show the same Data?

It would be easier to help you if you said what you are actually looking for, but here is what I can say about what you asked based on my ARNG AGR experiences.
Finance does not interface with DEERS. The SM is responsible for notifying all concerned when changes occur;
Finance usually doesn't maintain BAH forms at all. At best they input the data & return the BAH form to where it came from. It is the SM's responsibility to maintain a copy of their current BAH request form. The local AGR management office might maintain a copy. Finance is not required to maintain a copy of all forms that come to them for an AGR soldier;
Local policy dictates if the folks that maintain your MPF send documents to finance that effect entitlements/allowances. It sounds doubtful though because entitlements/allowances come by filing a request/change form directly to finance, not to the MPF folks. And most finance forms are not of 'place in MPF' nature. Only certain documents are placed in a MPF, not all;
Dependent data may differ between MPF & finance because of reasons stated above. Also, don't confuse tax withholding exemptions claimed in finance with MPF dependents. Many times MPF info may be behind finance because MPF does not change what you are getting paid for (or not).

In Sept 96 my daughter 19 joined our unit, I removed her as a dependent the same day she got into the pay system, She was injured in basic, came home went to here prev. doc whom sent the bills under my insurance , which were rejected / been removed dec.96.
1. BAh forms are given to us by our Supervisor , we fill them out and he turns them in / The last one our finance has is from 2005.
They emaied me in 2007 and said they had been audited and that Dfas showed me being paid dependent rate.
Finance made out a remission package for Dfas using the fact that I was close to retirement and was Unable to pay it back due to a hardship. But on the DD2279 form they said, I caught the error in 2005 and that was why I filled out the BAH form for 05.
Guess what kind of an answer I got back from Dfas. " As an NCO I should have tracked that 2005 BAh form to ensure finance updated it. I didn't do that, 2005 BAH form was one I sent thru supervisor as all the members of our branch did. Now they want 34K Plus finance took an entire month of pay from me and much since then.

I am really fighting this one. Sent Dfas my daughters enlistment/ seperation @ 21. emails from finance showing they stated it was from an audit.
But I also found personal data sent to me by MPF for 1997/1998/1999,2000,2001 saying no dependents. I sent every thing I could find to Dfas. Now finance sent new Dd form to dfas basically cutting me up stating this was my fault for no catching it.

Because I had questioned for several years why I showed one dep on les and they told me I was NOT getting paid dep. Rates. DEERS/Tricare show my daughter was removed 1996.

FYI: there isn't one person in finance who was there in 2005 . they have a large turn around. And at least 25 to 30 members have had to repay some kind of dept in the last year , and they have no clue ( members) Why. Dfas told them , they had never even seen the codes attached to debt at all.
