I just recently joined the Air National Guard as a Traditional member in Oklahoma. I'm trying to find a good health insurance plan and I was just wondering if there is any TRICARE plan for traditional Guard members or if anyone knows of anything else that is out there that would be good for me.

Most certainly.
"Tricare Reserve select"
It's a great plan for cheap. You can google it and it will give you the background about the plan. If you would like to join go see your "MPF" (where you enlisted) and they should be able to help you enroll.

Good luck

I know this post is a bit dated, but I just enrolled in TRS and have used it twice for emergency visits. It is a GREAT plan compared with my civilian carrier. I had an $18,000 hospital bill, cost me about $100 out of pocket. My wife also had to go to emergency room, cost us another $125 or so. Deductible is $100 and $1,000 is the catastrophic cap, so we are part-way there already. It's a godsend for us.

Signing up is VERY easy, just go to the TRS website:

https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/appj/trs/

And enroll. Takes about 2 minutes.

If you get confused or have other questions, check out this FAQ from Military.com

TRICARE is good stuff, it will cost you $81/month for full coverage for just yourself as a traditional member. Dental is another $10. It is a good deal and when you are on active duty for more than 30 days, you are covered for free.
