Hey guys,

I am considering joining the reserve 2 years after my four year enlistment. I was an intel analyst (1NO). I got out to finish my degree and did so last month. I figure if I go back in I might as well go as an officer. I don't know how picky they are in degrees, and my undergrad was Environmental Studies. Its not a tree hugger as some of your might think, it had to do with public policy and regulations. I had more political science classes then environmental ones. I know most of the officers in my shop were Pol Sci majors. Anyway, aside from talking with a recruiter, how can I find out what degrees might be accepted. Also, what other obstacles might I face in a prior service enlisted to officer reservist. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Since you're a former 1N0, your degree is less important than someone without the intel background. The biggest obstacles you will encounter will be trying to find a position, and making sure you can get through the commissioning physical. If you collect any VA disability - that will slow things up. If you have any other questions - just let me know.
