Basic Training |
I am 42 and am trying to enter the USAFR. I am prior service Army. I have taken and passed my physical. On my prescreen I disclosed my knee surgery - the doctor I saw at the medical unit had no issue with this. I have a history of high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I had been on medication for both of these. I elected recently to handle these issues through diet and excercise and have stopped taking the medication. My recruiter suggested that I not mention this history as it would most likely result in my being disqualified. I have been reading the posts about falsifying information on prescreens. My recruiter is starting to talk to me about jobs now and I am having second thoughts about not mentioning this. Any advice?

Slippery slope. Proceed with extreme caution. Fraudulent enlistment is bad mojo. Integrity shouldn't only be a core value after you join, it should be something that you already have. If it disqualifies you then so be it, but better that than dropping dead during PT.
