Can anyone help me? I am trying to find more details about being a parachute rigger and really can't find anything more. Are there any riggers out there that can give me any info? I was thinking about enlisting into it but want to find out more info first. I have my BS degree but want to go enlist first to start out then go Officer later on. Its a personal choice to do this so please no comments on me going Officer to start. Are there any certain types of Officer MOS's that regard this MOS if I get in and like it? I am a female, are there many in this MOS (doesn't matter-just wondering)? Also, I did find that riggers have to go through Airborne before AIT, I would have to be able to pass the PT for females 18 yrs old correct (I am 27)? Is that only done that first day or do you always have to be able to pass at that level due to being qualified? Where are they normally stationed? So please any details you can give me that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for the help!!

Maybe Quartermaster?

Not too popular with the ladies. I'd say it's in the somewhere middle between the average Army female % and zero female %.

Yes, you have to be airborne qualified to attend the AIT. AFAIK, the 18 year old standard is just for Airborne School.

Wherever there are airborne soldiers or even a need for aerial resupply. I know that sounds brusk but it's true and you'd be surprised at the units and posts with a (small) airborne contingent. Pretty much any infantry regiment will have a regimental recon, etc...
