NO. You are not allowed to have any animals in the barracks. And I know what alot of you are thinking and I mean the "four legged kind" of animal, not the two legged kind.

Not necessarily ... We're allowed to have fish, nothing else. Haven't heard of anyone being allowed to have the "four-legged" types, though.

I don't want to be negative here but you will also understand the reason for the animal ban more once your in the barracks and see that some Soldiers require NCO supervision just to live with proper hygiene. Not a lot but some. So you can imagine what would happen if they had a pet.
Not all parents are responsible raising their kids nor their kids at learning.....some make it into the Army (Recruiters / MEPS can't catch them all).

You must either be married or in the Rank of SSG/E-6 to be authorized to move off post.
If the barracks is full, units can request E-5's be given housing allowance and moved out of the barracks.
I have even seen 3 E-4's allowed to move off, which is common around Bragg.
I have never SEEN, nor would I allow, a single E-3 to move off post. That's just me.
