Can anyone tell me if you need Security Clearance for the MOS 36B.
My recruiter told me today that I need a Security Clearance for that job ?(I am not a US citizen, have a green card). And he is telling me that Financial specialist is 44C, am I right or that was the old code? Thank for your input

From what I got online the MOS for Financial Specialist is 36B and for that MOS no security clearance is required. Also, you are not able to obtain a security clearance until you become naturalized. In some rare cases if their is dual citizenship it might be granted. I searched the internet and I pulled this information from several different sites. They all gave the same information.

Seeing that you want to work with the Army's money. I would think some sort of clearance or an extensive background check would be mandatory.

They all get an intiial check up Azmax. Look in my case we have access to meds and there was no clearance needed and you would think that someone would check on us for our background.

I am a 44C and you don't need a security clearance. I guess if you are somewhere that needs one you will get one, but as a general rule no. So, that means no extensive security check.
