Hi everyone,
I have a question about changing my MOS. I initially wanted to join as a 35w, one of the linguist positions - but my bad credit means I can't qualify for a top secret clearance. I had a car that they repo'd about 6 years ago. So instead, I chose 25n nodal network systems with a 4-year enlistment. I'm scheduled to leave for MEPS to swear in on Tuesday the 10th.
My question is, if I join as this MOS, what are the chances that I'll be able to change it to 35w or maybe 35p later on down the road, in say, a year or two? My credit will be much better once that repo falls off next year. I got a 95 on the ASVAB and a 109 on the DLAB (both linguist MOSs require 105 dlab score)

You would have to wait until your re-enlistment window is open.
Then they may let you re-enlist for the other MOS if the one you are in is not a shortage MOS.

I don't know what the window is these days, but it used to be around a year before your enlistment was up.
