I have a friend who is currently going through the MEPS process. She wants to be a 68W and wants to do the M6 program. Her recruiter said he was unsure about if they still offer it in her contract and that she can just get it later. I, being prior service, know how that usually works out. So if anyone knows, please let me know.
Again, I'm asking if you can enlist as 68WM6. I know you could when I enlisted (6 years ago).
It is my understanding that M6 has been recently changed. Only Reserves can have M6 in their initial contract. To be eligible for M6 school while active duty, the Soldier has to have been a 68W for a minimum of two years.
