If I already have my private pilot liscence, will I still go through basic flight school after BMT? Any info would be appreciated

Knowing how the Army works, they will make you attend the school to learn the military way.

I really have no idea. We have two members that are at Rucker now. Maybe one of them will check in.

In 1990 while in BCT, we had a young kid (about 18) who had a private pilots license since he was about 16. The day he graduated, he was promoted to sergeant (E5) and sent to flight school. Last I heard from him, he was flying helicopters as a warrant officer before his 21 birthday. I don't think he flew attack helicopters though.
