I've already went through MEPS and had a full physical done. I will be going back to have a re-inspect done next week, sign my contract, and swear in. I've passed everything last time and am qualified to enlist. Over the past two weeks, I have thought about it and would like to have Airborne as part of my contract.
If I want this added in, do I have to go through another whole physical again or just some certain things that aren't part of the full physical? I couldn't find any information out on the web so I thought I would ask here. Thanks.
If you've got your ASVAB scores and a "picket fence" physical (all 1's and within 90 days) the only thing you need to do is sit down with the career councilor, pick your enlistment options (which can include airborne if available), and sign a contract.
Only sign a contract that has what you want no matter how much your recruiter or guidance councilor wants you to be a mortuary affairs specilist. Uncle Sam is always going to get his part of the bargain, you might as well too.
Haaaaa sucks for you lol j/k. I've been to Meps like 4 times already ANNOYING!!! You can renegotiate your contract to include Airborne. I got it in mine. I didn't have to get any special test done. I passed my physical with all 1's got a GT score of 115 so I pretty much can get everything. However friendly advice, all I had to do last time was go there pick a job and enlist, and just getting to the office to pick a job took 8hrs. So don't think your day will go quick. I literally had to sit and do NOTHING for 8hrs, so goodluck. Worse thing is they were trying to F me over with my contract so I have to go back and do it again too. I hate MEPS!!!
