ARMY FORUMS MODERATOR![]() |
This forum is specifically for those interested in Joining the U.S. Army and others that may want to participate to help them with their goal. Please follow and adhere to the following guidelines in this new forum:
Expected Behavior of Participants: 1. Please yield the discussion to an Army or Army National Guard Recruiter if one is present unless the OP states they want to speak with a non-Recruiter. This is a forum to help the individual obtain information on the primarily the Army but secondarily the Army Reserve or Army National Guard. 2. This is a board is open to everyone but intended for those in status "Considering Joining" or for those that of non-prior service status that are considering joining the U.S. Army or a Army Component of the Reserve Force. Please treat them with respect and avoid posting any remarks about stupid questions or any other remarks deemed overly hostile. You may remark that they need to do more research or you may steer them in a direction that you feel might be beneficial to them. If a question has been answered before you can state that as well. 3. Wannabes are expected to always be respectful of serving members of the Armed Forces in this forum as much as possible as well as any Army Veterans that choose to enter to assist. Wannabes can exchange information between themselves or on their experiences during the enlistment process. If the behavior of a non-Wannabe crosses the line as always you may email a Moderator from the Army Forums or any other Military.com forum for assistance....please do not engage in Hot Topic like debates as I have to clean some of those up. 4. Read the profile of the poster before you respond and know what their experience level is in regards to answering the question. Some specific examples that make a difference in experience level. Joining the Army or one of it's components is a "Buyer Beware" activity and you are making a major life decision here: a. A gold badge with the text "This We'll Defend" is a Current or former Army or Army Reserve Drill Sergeant. b. A Recruiting badge indicates a current or former Army or Army Reserve Recruiter. Current Army Recruiters frequent the Army Forums and have access to the most up to date information more so then anyone else in most cases. c. A light blue rifle with silver wreath around it, designates a Combat Infantryman. d. A subdued silver badge with a Bayonette and wreath around it indicates Combat Action for a non-Infantry MOS. e. Anyone with two or more rocker bars under their military rank chevrons. Please also note dates of service in the profile and the current status of the posters responding: "Active Duty" - Currently serving in the Active Army. "National Guard / Reservist Drilling" - Currently serving Reservist. "Veteran / Prior Service" - Served in the past but no longer serving, especially important to note the dates of service here. Questions deemed disrespectful: 1. Anything with a heavy political overtone to it or that denigrates the U.S. Army or one of it's service components. This is not a Hot Topic Forum or Political Topic Forum. 2. Anything that denigrates the current President of the United States or military Chain of Command. This is not a forum for political commentary. 3. Anything that is deemed disrespectful of wartime service....you will be told when it happens and you need to be careful here. Good Luck and ask your questions! This message has been edited. Last edited by: ErichG2, |
