HI, my husband has vol me to be the new FRG leader, we had one that worked a month and quit, not sure why, and they have had issues finding a new one. I am new to the army, two years, and have never been to an FRG meeting. I have no clue on what I am supposed to do and were to start. My husband came home and said I have a meeting next Wed but of course he has no more info for me. I am not sure if someone is going to contact me about the agenda. Can anyone help me? Thanks !

Go here:MyArmyLifeToo and register with the site. Then, on the top right side of the page is 'online training'. Click on that and start with AFTB Level I. Work your way through them....shouldn't really take too much time to do.
Then look under Getting Involved where it says FRG Leader's Training....do that one too.

It's kinda short notice for them throw all this in your lap, but it's totally doable. Smile

Now....go get educated!! Big Grin

I would recommend getting in touch with your Commander since he is technically in charge of the FRG he should have some more information for you. You can at least ask him what he wants you to say at the meeting etc.

I agree with all the above. Also, the Commander needs to sign a sanctions letter assigning you as the new leader. Make sure you keep track of all of your volunteer time. Your regional readiness will want a copy. They do recognition awards for volunteer time.

MyArmyLlifeToo is a great start. I was an FRG Leader twice. Feel free to email me with any questions! Smile
