I have been seeing a PTSD conserler from the VA sence 2002. I retired in 1987. I had had dreams and others things for years but I just delt with it as always. Then in 2001 I had a heart atack then 6 months later another. This set off a lot of problems. I got deprested and this set off the PTSD worse. A litte back ground I was not in combat but I was a Military Police Crimnal Investigator and I worked undercover as a Drug Investigator in Germany off and on for 17 years. During this time we also worked counter teroisam with the German Police. I delt with dead bodys on a dailey bases. You know I got up each day got my badge and gun and went to work and not on base but in the city or other places around the country. My wife never new were I was or what I was doing or when I would be home or if I would. Not combat but combat in the sence. My PTSD is real and my depression. As it is I am 100% unemployablity. I want to go back for the PTSD and the depression to compleat my 100% with out the unemployablity.

I read your report. I understand this I hope you understood what I was saying. My counserler has told me that the things I talk about are in such great detail as if you are right there. I feel like I am there looking at the body and touching it as I take the finger prints. The body that was placed in the back of a truck not as a body but more like a lump of trash I will never forget that 19 year old boy someones son or brother this was done by a LT and and LTC just to get the body out of the way so they could contune their mission No let me change that to Training Mission Just bull **** that could have wated untill today to do. He was just rolled up and stuck in the back of a 5 Qtr with trash I will never forget that as long as I live> If that was the only one but it is not there are so many Kids Young pople Old people and the only colour was red Blood Red. They dont sleep and nither do I anymore. It is not one thing that sets me off but a smell teast sight a noies just diff things. Well I could go on but I think I have said enough.

PTSD is just as real to survivors no matter the cause or conditions under which the victim of PTSD has experienced.

As in all cases of PTSD, the sooner the treatment, the better.
