The Compensation Rate Table (and non-service connected disability pension rates are found in the next post. Simply click on the link and select from the menu, the year you request the rates. The current year is the effective date of 12-1-05.
A simple rule (not chiseled in stone) as the VA rates can always change at the whim of Congress and the President. For as long as I remember the annual adjustment is 12-1.
Please do not post on this topic. There is no reason for posting, except moderator bumps to prevent pruning.
Thanks,

Please help. My husband just recieved a 20percent dissability award letter. My husband served in the Air Force 24 years and retired. Will he get full retirement check, plus the 20 percent dissability award?

CDRP is currently being phased in. So the answer to your question is "Yes" but as to exactly when he will be receiving it really depends on DFAS and their ability to process these. No application is required on your part as DOD/VA do harvest information. Have you ,looked at your RAS?
Wishing you and yours the best and Godspeed.

Freddy, Freddy, my friend, what am I going to do with you. She stated that her husband only received 20% from the VA.

To receive CRDP you must have 50% or more from the VA.

This member, I am sorry to have to inform you that your husband will not receive his full retirement, but the 20% amount that he will receive from the VA will be taken out of his retired pay. The VA amount will be income tax free.

I am sorry Freddy, but I had to correct this one. The CRDP that is being phased in is for the 50 to 90 % groups. You were just writing about this under Offset. I agree with you that Congress may approve the 40% and below, but until then the 20% will be taken out of his retired pay.

May God richly bless and keep you.

In His Service,

Grover

GROVER

My dear Friend....I stand ready to be tied to the proverbial whipping post, and you may commence to whip me with a wet noodle at any time.... That point escaped me Grover, and I stand corrected!!

On the other hand, I am always reassured that You would come and take a peek to check for accuracy. I also apologize to the OP for unintentionally posting incorrect information, and Grover knows very well that I don't ever mind being corrected at all, as we are team players here and the overriding factor is the welfare and support of the veteran above our own standing or egos.

I thank you Grover for catching my error..now as a reward..when we get to Greenbo, I will let you put the worm on my hook while I shiver in the early morning cold. How's that?
I wish you well my Friend, and God Bless.
Eres Tu!

I guess Freddy owes you a cold one, but my understanding of the culture it is an A & W, not a Sam Adams Wink
