I'm still looking for the report that was due in Janurary 07 from DOD and the V.A. on these issues (commisary and space A-Travel for disabled vetsWink Mandated by congress, I can't understand how/why the DOD keeps dodging this issue and gets away with not answering a congress mandate? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Show me where to find this report or any referrance to an extension. I was hoping to at least hear their side of the issue.
For anyone who is interested; Good old Rep. Filner is at it again: H.R. 4071 was introduced in Congress (again; same as bill hr 1188) yesterday 11-05-07 (space A-travel and commisory privildges for disabled vets). . .
The last go around we had 57 co-sponsors with no action; Let's try to double that this year . . .

Still waiting for that report... Guess I will be waiting for a long time. It seems as if, we have been forgotten, again, on this issue . . . I supose they have more important issues to discuss . . . I guess I'm back to wishing; I will have 2 delegate Space A travel along with winning the lotto . . . I remember an old statement "You can't win the lotto, without buying a ticket." Can't find any people who will speak out against the benefit (hard 2 justify not giving it to, at least, 100% vets.)If they would speak up, I guess we could debate the issue . . . COWARDS? My daddy was an aide to Reagon (when he was Governor) and another family member was an international labor leader. Both ends of the American political spectrum. Both teaching me to take a stand for the rights of the people. It is hard 2 stand against the DOD; Especially when they won't even raise their heads over their bunker, and take a public stand; Even after the American Congress mandated that they do so in the Sonny Montgommery defence budget appropiations bill. This political thing sure is hard 2 manuver; especially when your target seems to be your own Department of defence (DOD). I guess I'm not the only one who has gotten old waiting for the DOD to do the right thing. Our brother (retiree's) have waited a long time for their right to get disablility/comp, along with their retirement (the right thingWink especially since the Congress voted themselves so many huge pay raises in the same time period. . . Maybe after this next surgery (I have been on a waiting list for months now; Another issue veterans have been dying waiting forWinkI will have the strength to do more than just write another letter to my elected representitive; And step it up for a few, face to face, visits "Can't win the lotto without buying a ticket."
