Please leave "Coasties" out of this. That is our nickname. That will never change.

What they do want to change is our official title. So even though it's fun to bash on the new guard with our new names.. all the threads about Coastie VS Guardian are pointless.

I'm already seeing us referred to as Guardians instead of Coastguardsman in the CG E-traffic I'm spammed with each day. Honestly, it flows just fine, especially when Coastguardians is used instead of Guardians. Guardian works alright.. but I'm so used to Coastguardsman that Coastguardian flows better.

What would I like best? Coastguardsman

but if the pc police get thier way.. Coastguardian or even Guardian works fine for me.
