I have been put on ADM hold for A-school and have been given no date as to when it will be lifted. As the CO was the one who put the hold on it, he is the only one who can lift it, right? I was also told that they will still send orders (if I get them) to the command but that he has to approve them and take my hold off. Is that true? Will they contact him when I get orders, or will they only bother to send out orders once the ADM hold is cleared?
I would have suggested that digging in to the manuals to find the answer might go a long way to prooving to the CO (again) that you are ready for the responsibiities of a PO3.
It would be hard to believe someone was put on Admin hold for A school without knowing the reason . . .it would usually include a paper trail with notice and signatures acknowledging the reason for the hold and how to rectify the situation.
Admin holds don't just "happen". Something YOU did must have caused your command to rethink your maturity or ability to attend AND complete A-School. '
These questions are things you should be routing up your chain of command. If you think what you're being told is incorrect open the PERSMAN and do some research, I guarantee the answers you are looking for are there.
