I'm sure that someone with access to the CG licensing data based could fine out what level , if any US license, Capt Dipshlitz (paul watson) holds.

According to his on-line biography, he doesn't appear to be a U.S. citizen, being Candadian born and raised.

Ummm...I'd discourage anyone from using a official system of records to do this without an official reason.

Seriously, keep the heck out of an official databases unless you think you can stand in front of your CO and explain your reason well enough that he can go stand in front of cameras and defend you.

Over at the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection checking someone's name in the myriad of computer systems, without a legitimate reason, is grounds for dismissal. Usually that means the person has to be infront of you, waiting for admission into the US. I just flew back from Colombia 3 weeks ago; if I asked the Customs Officer what the computer said about me and he told me we would both be in trouble.

I watched the latest episode and was kinda disappointed by how the austrialan national police handled it. The sea shepards where almost mocking them. But then again the recieption they recieved from the public was amazing and could have influenced this some how.

Since the show is so Pro Sea Shepard, anti gov't, you won't see much of LE.

I really looked at "all the people" that were supposed to be this huge crowd and there wasn't that many. Look at the camera shots and you will see how editing makes it look better than it was.

I'm soooo tempted to call in some "intell" to them during the next hunt... Then again, I think it's hilarious that the Japanese have a "spy ship" dedicated to tracking them, and their crying about it. Big Grin

The Sea Shepard Society are pretty much terriorists, I remember chasing them around for months back in 99 or 00. I was even on Quarterdeck watch on the Active when the mob of them came down the city pier and started throwing hotdogs at our ship. I really find it amazing that these people are are willing to hurt and/or kill thimselves and others to save animals. If only it were paul watson that got ran over by Neah Bay's RHI.
Also I never understood what right non citizens had protesting in america.

Ah, the Little Tough Guy, CGC ACTIVE.

Apparently the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is HQed in Washington (the state).

It is no surprise they use these tactics in international waters, they wouldn't get away with it in U.S. waters. SSCS ship interfered with the seal hunt in Canadian waters. The ship (Marley Fowatt I believe) was boarded, seized in the two senior officers were arrested.

Not surprisingly, a few yrs later ACTIVE was shifted to new moorings within the confines of the GRU/AIRSTA.

How about we get an old cutter. Paint it black. Paint Sea Sheppard (sic) on it, run it out to the gulf, ram some pirate ships, create mayhem, disappear into the mist, sink it, then let the Sea Shepards go out for their yearly run and see what happens... Or am I off base with that... Big Grin

The above is a hypothetical situation, created on a hypothetical computer, using hypothetical reasoning, by a hypothetical person who may or may not be real.

BTDT,

Seems like a lot of work. I think given time Sea Shepards will find a way to sink their vessel with all hands. Eek

I recently watched the first episode and am quite happy with the lessons my 8 and 9 year old sons walked away with. They both now know the proper way to handle a bow line while lowering a small boat. They also got a chance to see what happens when you don't do it correctly. Big Grin

EMC, I have no doubt that your 8 and 9 year old sons are more qualified to crew that ship and 95% of the people onboard that ship.
